 2023 The first solar eclipse of the year 2023 has taken place on 20 April in Odisha. However, the solar eclipse will not be directly visible in India. However, the solar eclipse will be of hybrid as it will be a combination of an annular eclipse and a total solar eclipse. After the hybrid solar eclipse, this year only one more solar eclipse will take place on 14 October.    

10.07 AM: There will be three eclipses in the year 2023 in Odisha - this year there will be three major eclipses. Penumbral Lunar Eclipse: 

It will happen on May 5, and people from India will be able to see it.

Second Solar Eclipse: October 14

Partial Lunar Eclipse: October 28 (visible in India).

  Solar eclipse (Surya Paraga) is set to take place on 20th April 2023 in Odisha. This year we had 4 Eclipses till now but all were caused due to shadow of the Moon. But this solar eclipse is very special as the Moon will totally go through the Sun and the Earth this time.
Usually, the Sun looks like a fireball but on this day it will look like a fire ring as the middle part of the Sun will be covered by the Moon completely. The Moon will cover approximately 98.8 percent of the Sun so that in most places people will see darkness in the daytime. This will be seen all over the country. After 1995 this is the second time when we are going to experience again this kind of eclipse. Don't watch this solar eclipse with bare eyes it will affect your eyesight. Better to watch through a telescope or special black glasses.

This eclipse effect is more because, within 30 days interval of time, 3 Eclipses are happening. One is on the 5th of June(lunar eclipse), 2nd on the 21st of June(solar eclipse), and 3rd is on the 5th of July(lunar eclipse). Lunar eclipses will not be visible to our country.
